Getting started

Quickstart

Signup, KYC, Enterprise contract and the first private-net call.

Updated 2026-10-27 · MainAI Compute docs

Every request goes to https://cloud.mainai.dk/v1, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. MainAI issues keys with the sk-mai_ prefix. Keys are scoped to a model allow-list and can carry request, token, budget and expiry limits.

Before you startLink to this section

  • An email address you control.
  • Legal registration details for KYC. Prices are in EUR; DKK is a display reference.
  • curl for the first call. Any OpenAI-compatible SDK works later.

1. Create an accountLink to this section

Open the signup page and enter your name, company, country and password. Use at least 12 characters.

Signup creates a user and a pending organization. You are the owner of that organization. Memberships are per organization, and the active organization is selected in the portal.

2. Verify your emailLink to this section

The verification mail contains a single-use link valid for 24 hours. Open it before signing in. If it expires, request another from the sign-in screen.

3. Submit KYCLink to this section

After the email check and workspace creation you land on /kyc. Submit the registered legal name, company number and country. The portal shell stays locked while a reviewer checks the case.

4. Staff record the Enterprise contractLink to this section

KYC approval leaves the plan uncontracted. Staff record the signed contract reference and start date in the commercial panel; the customer and staff both receive mail. Only then do keys, wallet and inference unlock.

5. Fund the wallet and create a keyLink to this section

In Billing, choose credit or approved invoice terms. In Keys, name the key, select only the models it needs and set a hard budget. The plaintext key is shown once.

export MAINAI_API_KEY="sk-mai_…"
export OPENAI_BASE_URL="https://cloud.mainai.dk/v1"

6. Make the first callLink to this section

First chat completion
curl -s https://cloud.mainai.dk/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $MAINAI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "mainai-coder",
    "messages": [
      { "role": "user", "content": "Reply with the single word: ready" }
    ],
    "max_tokens": 12
  }'

A successful response is JSON with choices[0].message.content. The response carries x-request-id; log it with your own request metadata. See the API reference for the full shape.
